XMAS CLOSURE We will be closed from Monday the 25th December until Wednesday 3rd January
Coastalyarns supply locally sourced and hand spun yarns from Cornwall.
Complimenting our local supply we have sourced a fantastic range of luxurious and beautiful yarns from leading brands such as Rowan, Fyberspates, and Rooster, which we believe to be among the finest in the world in a range of fantastic colours.
Coastalyarns are located in a brand new unit on the Bude Canal. The unit has been recently converted as part of the Bude Canal regeneration project. Visit the yarn shop and not only enjoy the beautful selection of yarns but stunning views of the sea walks along the canal and the tranquillity of the path.
Bude Canal has a history spanning some 190 years and made up part of a mini-network of waterways on the Devon/Cornwall border.

Kaffe Fassett Exhibition 30 April - 2nd May 2017
This fantastic Exhibition is touring the country and Coastalyarns are thrilled to be offered the opportunity to show this unique collection. Our little shop on the Wharf can't do the collection justice so we are grateful to The Castle in Bude for allowing us space for the display in the Castle Heritage Centre.
Admission to The Castle Heritage Centre and the exhibition is free.
Guaranteed to lift your mood as well as encourage you to get knitting - this exhibition focuses on the work of Kaffe Fassett’s Classic designs.
In 1988 Kaffe became the first living textile artist to have a one man show at the Victoria & Albert Museum. The exhibition attracted such crowds that the Museum doubled attendance figures during the run and the show proved so popular that it was subsequently converted into an international travelling show which visited nine countries including Iceland where 5% of the total population attended.
So whether you are a colour and pattern addict or maybe looking for some inspiration to get your creative juices flowing or just want to see these classic vintage garments don’t miss this exhibition.
